Egg Fun
We spent the morning on Friday dyeing eggs. We used rubber bands to make the designs: Wrap once, dye in one color, re-wrap and dye in another color.
I really like how they turned out, and the rubber bands made the eggs a bit "grippier" for little hands.
Today the house smells of ham with a cognac glaze - and we are in the lull before family arrives to share the day with us.
Happy Easter!

I'll have to remember the rubber bands for next year. I introduced Acorn to the possibilities of drawing on a white egg with a white crayon this year; the inability to see what he was producing was a bit frustrating for him, but the magic when his name appeared on one he'd requested I write on made it all worthwhile.
Happy Easter - the eggs are beautiful :)
That looks like so much fun!! I've never used rubber bands before. I'll have to remember it.
I dyed eggs this year with a friend of mine. Had to be the first time since I moved out on my own...
